How do I enroll?
Complete an enrollment form and submit to the address or fax number on the form. Click on the ENROLL NOW button to obtain the form you need.What are my payment options?
For the Accelerated Certificate in Financial Planning program, if you select the credit card payment options, your account number on file will be charged for each course separately. Charges will occur automatically prior to the start date of each course. When paying by check or money order, payment for the total course must be received before pre-study materials can be shipped. Please see the specific enrollment form for the course you are enrolling for the most up to date payment options.
How many modules are there in the program?
Whether you enroll in the Accelerated Certificate in Financial Planning program or the Online Certificate in Financial Planning program, there are six modules. They are: Personal Financial Planning (FP101), Insurance Planning and Employee Benefits (FP102), Investment Planning (FP103), Income Tax Planning (FP104), Retirement Planning (FP105), and Estate Planning (FP106).
How many study hours are required?
Each module is approximately 60-80 hours of pre-study, followed by approximately 40 hours of classroom time. The five-day
Live Review Course is optional, but highly recommended. It requires 120-140 hours of pre-study and 40 hours of classroom time.
When will I receive my textbooks and pre-study materials?

Are there Continuing Education requirements needed to maintain my CFP® Certificate?
Yes! CFP® certificants must complete 30 hours of CE every two years:
- Two hours from a CFP Board-Registered Program on CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility (Code of Ethics) and/or Financial Planning Practice Standards (Practice Standards).

28 hours from one or more of the accepted subject topics.
Each reporting period, two of the required hours must be obtained from a pre-approved program on CFP Board's Code of Ethics and/or Practice Standards. No exceptions are made. This requirement is designed to ensure that CFP® certificants review and remain informed of the ethics and practice standards to which they agree to adhere to as a condition of certification. Can I obtain Insurance Continuing Education credits for any coursework I have taken?
Possibly! Insurance CE credit may be granted for attendance in the classroom instruction (subject to state approval). Additional CE certificate fees will apply. To apply, complete the Insurance Continuing Education section on the enrollment form before submitting to Dearborn Financial Services.
Can I use the CFP® Certification on my business card and letterhead?
CFP® certification is granted only by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination requirements. Once you have completed all of the requirements to obtain the certification, and it has been awarded to you, you may begin using the certification on your business cards and letterhead.
